BINA48 is a robot modelled physically after Martine Rothblatt’s wife Bina Aspen Rothblatt. BINA48 received a ‘mind file’ of Bina compiled through over a hundred hours of conversations with her. Gradually BIAN48 adopted some of Bina’s identity and continues to grow into her own person as she interacts with people around the world. BINA48 is a unique experiment to explore whether consciousness of a human can be transferred into a robot.
