Summer Solstice Poetry Workshop

Whether you're a regular writer or you've never tried to write a word, this is your chance to tap into the energy of Summer and create your own Tarot-inspired poetry!

In this English-language workshop, local writer and recently published poet Heather Hurd will walk you through the basics of poetry, share a seasonal prompt inspired by the Tarot, and give you time to start writing your own Summer Solstice poem. Anyone who is interested can share their work with the group and get live feedback at the end of this two-hour session.

For this celebration-of-summer poetry session, we will take our inspiration from the Sun card. This is a card that represents radiant joy, vitality, and the fullness of life in bloom. Just as the world around us basks in the longest day of the year, the Sun card invites you to step into your own light — to write boldly, brightly, and without hesitation.
