In this three and a half hour workshop, SharE Creations will teach you how to process wool sustainably and ecologically using solar dyeing. By using artisanal recipes the results will be unique, vibrant, and harmonious colors, perfect for fun knitting, crocheting, embroidery, or weaving projects. Come and experience the magic of natural textile dyeing.

We work with skeins of 100% merino wool.

During the workshop, we will cover:

• Selecting wool
• Handling wool during the processes
• Whether or not to mordant the wool
• Basic colors from nature
• Collecting plant materials
• The sustainability and craftsmanship of the processes
• Finishing the wool skeins

Finally, we will show a few patterns for beautiful end results

We’ll make it a cozy afternoon together, and you’ll go home with lots of knowledge, a jar of dyed wool for your windowsill, and possibly new connections with people who share your passion for wool and plants.
