How does our society work? Why is it the way that it is? Hey – and if we don’t like it, what can we do about it? Critical Mass is Studium Generale’s experimental space at Theater de Veste. We bring in experts to unpick society’s biggest problems. Then it’s over to you. Can you apply what you’ve just learned? Work with others to solve a unique challenge.

This time, we focus on the brain — and the vast range of ways it works. Many people process the world differently from the norm. What does that mean for how society is built? We’ll explore neurodiversity, challenge assumptions about “normal” interaction, and ask how we can build a world where every kind of mind can thrive.

Studium Generale (SG) van de TU Delft biedt inspirerende programma’s op het snijvlak van wetenschap, techniek, kunst en maatschappij. Door middel van lezingen, debatten, films en performances worden bezoekers uitgedaagd tot verdieping, dialoog en verwondering.

Missie

Studium Generale creëert ruimte voor reflectie en kritisch denken, binnen én buiten de universiteit. De visie is dat academische vorming verder gaat dan alleen het verwerven van kennis: het draait ook om maatschappelijke betrokkenheid, ethische overwegingen en het vermogen om buiten bestaande kaders te denken.

De programma’s van SG zijn toegankelijk voor studenten, TU-medewerkers én andere geïnteresseerden. Iedereen met een nieuwsgierige geest is van harte welkom.
