In this course, you will become familiar with wood as a natural material and with carving. Over four sessions, you will create a small or large spoon that can later be used, for example, for measuring herbs, serving sugar, or eating ice cream.
Carving combines creativity and mindfulness. The idea becomes visible in the wood through what your hands create. Nicole is a trained wood sculptor and will support you in developing ideas, carrying them out, and using the tools.
The course is suitable for anyone who enjoys working with their hands and would like to experience the scent of wood. No prior experience is required.
As very sharp tools are used, this course is designed for adults. Carving gloves will be provided on site; you may bring your own if available.
