Laser Cutting Workshop

We’re inviting young people in Delft (Between the ages of 15-25) to take part in an exciting project that combines technology, creativity, and public art. Inspired by the work of artist Gijs van Bon, participants will learn how to design and build mobile robots that can print text and images on the ground.

The project will run in two phases:

1. Robot-Building Workshops – Get hands-on experience in building robots.
2. Public Art Sessions – Use our robots to create collaborative artworks in public spaces.

These workshops are open to participants from any professional or educational background. Previous knowledge or skills are NOT REQUIRED. We are here to teach and support you through the process!

01.11.25 Learn 3D Printing while making wheels and other parts for robots
08.11.25 Experience Laser cutting by making body parts and structural frames of robots
15.11.25 Join the crew in Robot assembly workshop
22.11.25 Explore Delft during the Field Test of robots and experiment with printing materials
29.11.25 Engage in our Art class and print in the city!
