UT Robot Hand II
Underactuated hand prosthesis with compliant control Project “UT-hand II”, MyoPro, University of Twente, RaM, UTWENTE
The Robotics and Mechatronics (RaM) lab at the University of Twente has developed the UT Hand I, an innovative prosthetic hand in which the fingertips are fitted with sensors, enabling the hand to sense whether it is holding something, so that everyday grasping movements can be performed with minimal control effort. The RaM lab’s research into underactuated, flexible prostheses focuses primarily on the synergy between minimal control and electromyographic (EMG) monitoring to mimic human grasping.
