Why clearing up litter is important
A clean city centre makes Delft attractive to both residents and visitors. It ensures a pleasant living environment and contributes to a sustainable city that everyone enjoys visiting. By picking up litter, you help to keep the streets, squares and canals clean.
Rubbish left on the streets can end up in the canals via rainwater. This is harmful to plants, animals and water quality. By picking up just a little bit of rubbish, you’re already helping to create a healthier living environment and a cleaner Delft.
Together, we can make a difference. Whether you’re visiting Delft for the day or live here, every little action helps to keep the city clean, green and welcoming.
Help keep the city even cleaner
Delft is beautiful, and we want to keep it that way! With small, conscious choices you can contribute to a cleaner city, less waste and healthy canals. Think about picking up your own rubbish, using a reusable water bottle or taking part in a clean-up action. Everything helps. Whether you visit for a day or a weekend, your behaviour makes a difference. Together, we ensure that Delft remains liveable, beautiful and sustainable.
