365 days Delft

 

With the campaign 365 days Delft, we want to boost incoming tourism (German/Flemish markt) as well as domestic tourism. We focus on the months of September to March with the aim of welcoming more tourists to the city during this quieter period. In addition, an always on campaign (365 days a year) will run which means that we do communicate and draw attention to the campaign throughout the year. The approach is to do this for at least three years.

For the international strategy and campaign, we are working with an agency with extensive experience in the tourism sector.

We postion Delft as the Cosy Dutch Hub. The city that has everything and if you stay several nights is a fantastic base to visit the beach, spend a day shopping in Rotterdam, or explore the Westland, for example.

 
What are we going to do?

 

Website
From April, our entire website will be trilingual. A lot has already been translated, but German in particular lags behind. A tool will be implemented to ensure that all pages are automatically translated into English and German.
In addition, we will create landing pages specifically for the German and Flemish markt with customised content for our target audience. Our online campaigns will redirect to these. We have now attended several workshops to familiarise ourselves with the target group, message, tone of voice, etc.
For the Dutch markt , we will work with User Generated Content. Real stories from real people. They share their programme and experiences of a weekend in Delft with us at our request.

Social media
We use both Facebook and Instagram and additionally TikTok. For Germany, we focus on the somewhat younger target groupl

Press and media
We will also seek cooperation with the German and Flemish press. This is already in full swing and we will reap the benefits of this during the campaign period. This means both press trips and cooperation with media agencies to run campaigns in Germany and Belgium.

Joint actions and campaigns

  • We are organising a workshop for all entrepreneurs and other interested parties in Delft about the German and Flemish tourist to offer them an even more hospitable experience in Delft. This will cover issues that are valued by this target group when they spend a weekend away.
  • We create marketing material for overnight locations.
  • We also seek cooperation with partners in this. Think of free overnight stays for our content creators, providing maps etc.
