Midden-Delfland  - 15 minutes from Delft 

Between Rotterdam, Delft and The Hague there is a beautiful nature reserve: Midden-Delfland. Take a beautiful bike ride here where you can see the skylines of Rotterdam and Delft in the distance or take a lovely walk through nature. There is plenty to do; discover the open and green landscape or cycle past the picturesque villages of Maasland and Schipluiden.

Kinderdijk - 40 minutes from Delft 

People often think of windmills when they think of the Netherlands. Kinderdijk is one of the most beautiful villages in the Netherlands and is world-famous for its windmills. The 19 Kinderdijk Windmills were designated an official UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997. The history of Kinderdijk is also the story of the struggle against the water. You can drive from Delft to Kinderdijk in about 45 minutes.

De Keukenhof

Lisse - 40 minutes from Delft 

The Keukenhof in the bulb-growing district of Holland is the most beautiful spring park in the world, and has to be seen to be believed! With more than seven million tulips, daffodils, and hyacinths, you can immerse yourself in 32 hectares of floral fragrance and colour. The Keukenhof is open each year from late March to the end of May. It takes less than one hour to get there by car from Delft.

Leiden - 35 minutes from Delft 

In CORPUS you can take a spectacular 'journey through the human body’ in just 55 minutes. You learn about all the different parts of the body, how it works, and how to keep it healthy. This unique and fascinating journey into the workings of the human body is the only exhibition of its kind in the entire world. It only takes 40 minutes by car, or 50 minutes by public transport, to get to CORPUS from Delft.

Den Haag - 25 minutes from Delft 

With such masterpieces as Vermeer’s The Girl with a Pearl Earring, Rembrandt’s The Anatomy Lesson of Dr. Nicolaes Tulp, Fabritius’ The Goldfinch and Potter’s The Bull, the Mauritshuis has an unrivalled collection of the best Dutch paintings from the Golden Age. Tram 1 will take you directly from Delft to the Mauritshuis.
