Stephanie Willems
Stephanie is founder of the fashion label Stephastique(www.stephastique.com). Her passion is sustainable fashion. Reusing discarded materials and giving them new value makes her heart beat faster.
She always enjoys the challenge of discovering the best way to recycle things. For example, she was able to reuse the strap that normally attaches the banner to the flagpole as waist and shoulder straps.
Stephanie hopes to inspire people to look at the possibilities of second-hand materials in a new way.

About the design
In her creation for the Vermeer Recycle Project, she has combined banners with semi-transparent fabrics and lace. She has played with the layers and transparency of the fabrics, just as Vermeer played with light in his paintings.
