Barbara studied at the Academy of Visual Arts Breda. Almost immediately, she was offered a full-time job at Italian fashion brand Diesel.

For four years Barbara lived, La Dolce Vita in northern Italy. For Diesel, she conceived and created illustrations for the collections, after which she started her freelance agency in Delft. Since then, she has been carrying out all kinds of creative assignments. Life is not a fairy tale ... But that does not mean you cannot create your own wonderland; @Magical_Wall also sprung from Barbara's almost infinite imagination.

She draws her wondrous worlds from intuitive inspiration. Starring cute animals with human traits, no dreamscape is out of reach. Not even if it is a shy little deer coquetting with a gold earring and red nail polish.

About the design

Designer Barbara's magical 'hide~away costume' was created from the camouflage patterns of Vermeer banners combined with vintage emblems and garments ingeniously crafted into an everywhere you can retreat to from our sometimes overwhelmed society. Back to your own magical world full of fantasy and tranquillity.
