Burgwal en Brabantse Turfmarkt - summer shopping route

Halfway down Oude Langendijk, turn left into Jacob Gerritstraat. And believe me, this is one of those streets you really don't want to walk past. Small, knus and full of fine shops where it is easy to linger.

We start at well-known favourites like The Body Shop and My Jewellery. Always good for a quick beauty stop or a new piece of jewellery to go with that summer outfit you just scored.

But be sure to take a look inside 't Oorzaakje. One of those shops that will make you happy. You will find jewellery, bags, hair accessories and other gadgets that will make your heart beat faster. Fun for yourself, but also perfect as a last-minute gift.

Walking down the street, you'll end up at Brabantse Turfmarkt. Vinyl-lovers take note: Sounds is a must. You dive into the bins and before you know it you are outside with that one album you never thought you would find.

A little further along is the Swan Market Store Delft, a shop full of small gifts, illustrations, jewellery and lifestyle items from creative entrepreneurs. Really one of those places where you suddenly come across something you weren't looking for, but must have.

From there, walk straight on to Burgwal, and here you'll enter interior design heaven. At Groene Vingers you walk among greenery, with beautiful plants and equally beautiful pots. But they also have crockery, home accessories and everything that gives your home that extra touch.

As icing on the cake, end up at Dille & Kamille. Always a good idea. From wooden spoons to linen napkins, from herbs to garden stuff, everything here smells good and looks nice.
