Cultural Heritage: The Old Water Tower and its water cellar are now a centre for modern art and ecology
The water tower was built in 1895-1896 with a 600,000-litre water reservoir. In 1996, the water tower was decommissioned. After a thorough renovation in 2007, the tower changed hands twice and RADIUS, centre for contemporary art and ecology, will open its doors on 29 May 2022. With its focus on climate change, RADIUS forms an appropriate end to de Nieuwe Delftse Waterloop.
