De Candelaer is a small factory in the centre of Delft that still produces its own earthenware, everything is still hand-painted. Besides the traditional blue and polychrome, we also produce unique delft earthenware in modern style.
De Candelaer was started in 1975 by Jan and Ineke Stillebroer and is now owned by Steffan Delfos, he is a fourth-generation potter with 44 years of experience in his trade. He is responsible for producing the pottery, glazing and firing the Delftware. Anna is a master painter and has over 50 years of painting experience and Shirly is our new talent and specialises in making hand-painted delft jewellery such as bracelets, earrings, rings and necklaces.
