Continue walking on Oude Delft and turn left onto Hooikade, Ateliers Bacinol is there.
Ateliers Bacinol is an old factory building at Hooikade 13 in Delft, overlooking the bowl of the Schiekanaal canal. Vermeer made his sketches for 'View of Delft' here. Now the place is a centre for the creative sector.
The artists on the Ateliers Bacinol corridor together form Vereniging Bacinol. Together, they organise events and give workshops. But of course, they are also active as independent artists. They paint, photograph, sculpt, microscope, airbrush, design, draw and make beautiful collages and stencil prints.
Apart from this, the artists like to share art-making with others. The association mainly approaches fellow citizens of the city who do not easily go to a studio and are not so quick to do something creative together with an artist. The fact that the artists sit together in this beautiful building gives off a tremendously good atmosphere.
