Vermeer and Delft
The 17th-century master Johannes Vermeer lived and worked in Delft, which inspired Royal Delft s master painters to transform his works into Delft Blue. Besides the extensive Vermeer collection, visitors can participate in a Vermeer workshop or enjoy a Vermeer-themed lunch.

After a stroll through the museum, a well-deserved refreshment or high-tea can be enjoyed at Brasserie 1653. The lunchroom offers beautiful views of the monumental courtyard, which is accessible all year round and has a lovely terrace in summer.
Paint like a Royal Delft painter
After learning more about the painting process, you can create your own piece of pottery, choosing from a tile, plate or small house. Once your piece is glazed, fired and sent to your home, it becomes a treasured and tangible keepsake forever.
