The Delft Beestenmarkt is known far and wide. Whether summer or winter, there is always a buzz of activity here. Markt

Brouwplein
Fancy a good (special) beer? The Brouwplein is your place to be. As the name suggests, this is the place to be when you feel like a good beer. Delft used to be known as a brewing city, and in the 15th century you could find no fewer than 200 (!) small breweries. By mid-century, Delft was even the largest brewing centre in what was then Holland. Even today, you can still enjoy a tasty beer at one of Delft's breweries. At the Delft Brouwbuis, for example, which houses city brewery Delftse Brouwers. They regularly brew special new beers, which you can of course taste. Lunch, drinks and dinner are also available at this cosy Delft square.

This cosy café-restaurant at Hippolytusbuurt 14 welcomes you for a cup of coffee or a tasty lunch. Later in the day, you can enjoy drinks or dinner. Find a spot on one of the swings or beds on the terrace and unwind. When it gets a bit colder, you can also sit very cosily inside!
De Waag
Eetcafé De Waag at Markt 11 is located in a historic, monumental building. You can feel the history in this special building in Delft city centre. Especially on the ground floor: from the large scales from 1647 to the authentic elements of the building. So order a tasty sandwich and feast your eyes.
Uit de Kunst
At this special lunch spot you can not only eat, but also shop. Always a good combination! Enjoy delicious homemade cake or a fresh sandwich: they are all uit de kunst. A special fact: at Uit de Kunst you will find the smallest museum in the Netherlands. In an old-fashioned phone box, a different artist exhibits every month.
Bij Best
At this cosy little joint at Vrouwjuttenland 22, you can enjoy lunch, but the breakfast menu is also available all day. From tasty sandwiches to surprising street food: you'll find it all here. What makes Bij Best so special is that the terrace can be found on a terrace boat. So enjoy your lunch and a great view from the water.
Kobus Kuch
One of Delft's cosiest cafés is Kobus Kuch, known for its delicious apple pie. On average, some 60,000 pieces of it cross the counter at de Beestenmarkt 1 every year. Lunch with a nice sandwich, or with one of those delicious slices of apple pie: you choose!
