This way, you can enjoy your favourite hot drink whilst helping to reduce the use of disposable cups.

The ‘Echt Dellufs Bakkie’ is a reusable cup for takeaway coffee and tea in Delft. You can pick up a Bakkie from a participating venue for €1. After use, you return it and receive a token for your next Bakkie.

2. Enjoy your Bakkie
Take your coffee or tea with you and enjoy your ‘Echt Dellufs Bakkie’, wherever you are in Delft.
3. Hand in your ‘Bakkie’
Ready? Hand in your Bakkie at a participating venue and receive a token.
4. Reuse your token
Next time, bring your token with you and swap it for a fresh ‘Echt Dellufs Bakkie’. It’s an easy way to get involved again.

More than 42,000 Bakkies have already found their way to Delft. And they can be used time and time again! By returning your Bakkie after use, it stays in circulation. In this way, together we can reduce the use of disposable cups in our city.

More and more venues are joining the ‘Echt Dellufs Bakkie’ scheme. You can also return your cup to a different participating venue from the one where you collected it. In this way, we’re making reuse easier and easier together.

The ‘Echt Dellufs Bakkie’ scheme is also active on the TU Delft campus. In this way, the cup scheme connects the city and the campus: students and staff can use and return their cups at various participating locations.

You can collect and return your ‘Bakkie’ at participating venues in Delft. Check the location map to see where you can go.
Yes! You don’t have to return to the place where you collected your Bakkie. You can hand it in at any participating venue in Delft.
A ‘Bakkie’ costs €1. When you return it, you’ll receive a token of the same value. You can use this token next time to get another clean ‘Bakkie’. Would you like a lid? That costs €1 and you can keep it.
Yes, the Bakkie is dishwasher-safe. So you can easily clean it if you take it home with you.
A ‘Bakkie’ can be washed and reused at least 500 times. This means that a single ‘Bakkie’ replaces a great many disposable cups.
