On Tuesday 9 December 2025, during the atmospheric Lichtjesavond (Evening of Lights), the Christmas tree will be lit on the Markt. This festive moment marks the start of Delft Verlicht, which runs until Sunday 4 January 2026.

  Are you looking for general information about the organisation or all the activities taking place during Delft Verlicht? Then visit delftverlicht.info
• Lichtjesavond
  The registration period for outdoor activities has now closed. Unfortunately, we can no longer accept new applications at this time.
• Don't forget to register your activity for free on the UITagenda
  Events that are registered will also be used for the cross-media campaign around Delft Verlicht. Make sure the images you add are royalty-free! Register your activity before 3 November and it will be included in the folder. More on that below.
• Leaflet and other promotional material Delft Verlicht for every visitor to Delft
  Through VVV Delft, the VVV information points and other points in the city where many people come, the free leaflet is available with information about Delft Illuminated and an overview of all festive activities. Events registered in the UITagenda before 3 November will be included in the leaflet. We also have other promotional tools available, such as posters and fun postcards. You can register via this form.
• The Delft December Calendar from 9 to 24 December
  After last year's success, the Delft December Calendar returns in a digital format via our website. From 9 to 24 December, visitors will open a box daily for a chance to win great prizes ranging from gift cards and packages to tickets and hotel stays. The campaign takes place in cooperation with Hartje Delft and UITagenda Delft and offers entrepreneurs extra visibility through our newsletter, social media channels and the digital calendar. Entrepreneurs can submit their own campaigns. Participants of previous editions are also welcome to participate again, possibly with the same campaign as last year. • Collaboration with influencers
  Delft Marketing works together with influencers to highlight different packages and trips in Delft. Are you interested in cooperating with influencers in an accessible way during Delft Verlicht? We would love to help you organise this easily and effectively.
• Promotion for your event
  Would you like to have your event portrayed professionally? Delft Marketing, in collaboration with YesContent, offers the option of having footage shot with a Flying Reporter or a recap video. They capture the atmosphere and highlights of your event and turn it into appealing content that is perfect for online promotion. These images are then also used in other promotional activities of Delft Marketing, such as the Delft Verlicht promo video, for extra visibility. Costs: from €600
