Do you also want a toilet-friendly Delft for visitors and residents? Then register your toilet in the Hoge Nood app.
Delft chooses to be a hospitable and inclusive city and toilet accessibility is an important part of this. To achieve this, it is necessary to designate enough places in the city where visitors can use the toilet. This way, we create a better visitor experience (also for our own residents) and Delft becomes even more attractive to visit, whether for a visit to a tourist attraction or to come fun-shopping or visit Delft's hospitality industry and, of course, to come and stay in Delft.
Why is this important?
Because accessible toilets are invaluable to everyone in our community. Think of stomach and bladder patients, the elderly, parents with young children, people with mobility problems, pregnant women, and even tourists visiting our city experience the lack of toilets in the Netherlands where they often have much better facilities at home. With your cooperation, we can make Delft even more hospitable and set an example for other cities.
So, let's work together to make Delft the most toilet accessible municipality in the Netherlands.

If you do so (or have already done so), Delft Marketing will work to make it visible.
So let us know that you have registered your location and you will receive a.o:
- Welcome pack including sticker and additional information.
- Online toolkit with standard texts and logos. You will also receive tips on how best to use these on your website, newsletter or social media.
- Mention toilet accessibility on the new website of Delft Marketing.
- Mention it on our social media channels.
You also have the chance to participate as a location in an original video report or user test.
We are also tackling public communication by:
- Visibility on socials, newsletter and website.
- Press release.
- Article in new Delft Magazine and UITmagazine.
For everyone who has already registered in the Hoge Nood app, we are going to make it visible and so the above not only applies to new registrations but also to everyone who has already registered. You will receive information about this soon.
Together we can make a difference and show that Delft is not only known for its rich history and beautiful canals, but also for its excellent hospitality and inclusiveness.
Are you already in the Hoge Nood app? Then check your details.
The app has been around for almost 10 years now, so things may well have changed in the meantime. So if you are not aware that you are in the app, or you have been in it for a long time with your location, please check your details and update it immediately if necessary. This is quickly done by taking the following steps:
1. Download the HogeNood app for iOS or Android and look up your own toilet location in it (the nearest toilet locations are automatically retrieved, if you are not currently in the area you can look up your location via the 'map' function).
2. Check that all the details listed are correct. If this is the case then of course it is perfect. No further actions need to be taken.
3. If the details are not correct then you can make the necessary changes via the 'suggest a change' option that you will see when you have clicked on a toilet location. We will ensure that the feedback is processed within a few days.
Do not forget to inform your (new) employees if you are in the app. This is nice for visitors to your toilet.
Include it in your onboarding.
