Joris' Christmas tree brings light to Delft on Lichtjesavond
The beloved TV programme Joris' Kerstboom, presented by Joris Linssen, is coming to Delft on Tuesday 10 December for the special Lichtjesavond (Evening of Lights). This evening is all about connection and love, and offers Delfters the chance to put someone who means a lot to them in the light.
With the question "Who would you like to put in the light?", Joris Linssen travels the country to share precious stories of gratitude and love. On the Markt in Delft, with the beautiful Nieuwe Kerk and city hall as a backdrop, visitors can hang a photo of their special person on the big Christmas tree, accompanied by a personal message. Joris will also be present to highlight some of the stories: "Joris' Christmas tree is really a love tree, where people prove their love to someone, and the stories behind it never bore."

Lichtjesavond is a much-loved event in the region. Joris Linssen, known for his previous programme ‘Taxi’, is looking forward to experiencing Delft’s charm: “Delft is, of course, picturesque with its canals, facades and the Christmas atmosphere on the ‘ Markt ’. I hope we can continue to build on this tradition in the years to come.”
