Goodbye disposable cup, hello Echt Dellufs Bakkie!

Delft is the first city in the Netherlands to introduce its own reusable cup. This mug can be used at affiliated catering establishments, making it a real Delft bakkie!

How it works
From October 2024, guests at participating Delft hospitality venues and on the TU Delft campus will be able to receive a reusable ‘Echt Dellufs Bakkie’ when they order tea or coffee to go. An ‘Echt Dellufs Bakkie’ is made from fully recyclable polypropylene. Guests pay a one-off deposit of one euro to purchase the cup. When the cup is returned to one of the participating catering establishments or to TU Delft, the guest receives a token worth one euro, which can be exchanged for a new, clean ‘Bakkie’.

As an entrepreneur, Echt Dellufs Bakkie costs you nothing! You register as a participant and pay one euro per cup, but you get that back from your guests if they take a Bakkie with them.

Introduction offer for entrepreneurs

The first 25 Delft catering entrepreneurs who register for participation before 15 September 2024 will receive a free starter kit, consisting of:

  • 25 Genuine Delft Bakkies (contents 30 cl)
  • 25 Genuine Delft Bakkies (contents 40 cl)
  • 10 lids (for 30 cl and 40 cl cups)
  • 100 deposit coins

All information and registration is via echtdellufsbakkie.nl
