Delft Hyperloop Experience exhibition at Huis van Delft

Always wanted to experience what a hyperloop journey would look like? At the brand new Delft Blue House, which is located next to Delft Central Station, you can. On 20 March, mayor Marja van Bijsterveldt will open the Delft Hyperloop exhibition at 13.00, together with the 39-strong TU Delft student team.

The Hyperloop exhibition
A Hyperloop is the sustainable mode of transport of the future, enabling travellers to journey between Amsterdam and Paris in under 30 minutes. From 20 March, anyone interested can experience what a Hyperloop journey and station look like.

In the exhibition, passers-by can experience several aspects of the hyperloop. Various informative videos make it seem as if you are actually inside a Hyperloop pod. In addition, all previous achievements of the student team can be viewed.

Delft students work every year to design, build and demonstrate a hyperloop prototype. The hyperloop is a revolutionary means of transport that combines the speed of a plane with the comfort of a train. A hyperloop is also many times more energy-efficient and has no fossil fuel emissions. Because the pod floats through a vacuum tube, there is no air and rolling resistance and the pod can travel at up to 1,000 km/hour. By using magnetic propulsion that works entirely electrically, there is also no use of fossil fuels. This sounds ideal, but before it is possible to take a ride on the hyperloop, a lot still needs to happen, such as making the hyperloop concept known to the Dutch public.

"Our mission is to acquaint the Dutch public with the hyperloop concept and Delft Hyperloop and thereby inspire people about the technological possibilities." - Cem Celikbas, team captain of Delft Hyperloop.
