Visit the oldest church of Delft and get to know the history!

The origins of the Oude Kerk go back centuries because it has been in Delft since 1246. The Oude Kerk is also called the 'Oude Jan' or 'Scheve Jan'. The nickname 'leaning' comes from the fact that the tower of the church is so crooked, even more crooked than the tower of Pisa! Famous people such as Johannes Vermeer, Antoni van Leeuwenhoek and Piet Hein are buried in the Oude Kerk. You can discover the stories and interior of the church through a guided tour.
