Lampposts- Walkingroute Ceramics
Attention! Museum Prinsenhof Delft will be temporarily closed for renovations from January 6th 2025. For more information, please visit the website of Museum Prinsenhof
The porcelain lampposts are decorated with paintings by Wendy Steenks and Chinese artist Zhang Ling Yun. Traditional Chinese and Dutch motifs are combined with contemporary forms. What is unique is that the porcelain lampposts were made in the Chinese ceramics city of Jingdezhen, a sister city of Delft and the cradle of Chinese porcelain from which Delft blue originated. The modern objects form a beautiful contrast with the centuries-old buildings, which include Museum Prinsenhof Delft.
