Perle's Delft: your guide to a stylish girlfriend weekend

Hi, I am Perle. Delft is my happy place for spontaneous brunch dates, cocktails on secret terraces, street art spotting and vintage treasure hunting. Will you also come with your best friend(s)? I have the perfect hotspots waiting for you.

Morning magic: Coffee and Insta-proof breakfast

Let me take you to a handful of my favourite spots, where I like to settle down with a book, a friend or a good excuse to just treat myself.

Start at Café Meet Johannes or Cin Cin: here you can drink the tastiest matcha, smoothies and lattes and eat the most delicious pancakes, French toast and smoothie bowls. Perfect light. Perfect cappuccino. Perfect feed.

Time for shopping and exploring Delft

After that first cappuccino, it is time to really explore Delft. And believe me: this city is a treasure chest full of unique shops and boutiques, perfect for a day of shopping with your girlfriends. These are my favourites:

LACHA Studio
At the Heilige Geestkerkhof, you’ll find this colourful shop full of statement pieces. Shop brands such as Stieglitz, Harper & Yve and their own bikini range, or swap your old clothes for store credit with Second Life by LACHA. Owner Charissa will help you find an outfit that truly suits you.

Pleck
A concept store where you’ll find clothing, jewellery, baskets, minerals and incense. It’s exactly the sort of shop where you always walk out with something lovely.

Saturday Antiques Market
From April to September, every Saturday you’ll find 120 stalls throughout the city centre, brimming with Delft Blue, vintage jewellery and curiosities. The perfect place to unearth a unique treasure.

Lunch at't Postkantoor

When you start to get hungry, 't Postkantoor is a top address. Here the light falls in so beautifully that your lunch will automatically become a shoot. The old post boxes and industrial details give it that extra something. What I recommend?

The bruschetta Asian caprese with buffalo mozzarella or Turkish bread with the oriental marinated chicken. Really delicious!

An afternoon with a twist

Need to stretch your legs after lunch? Delft has a surprisingly creative side.

Spotting street art
Head towards Kloksteeg and Bonte Ossteeg. Here you’ll find walls covered in murals. A great spot to take some snaps together.

Stand-up paddleboarding through the canals
Fancy something truly special? Hire a SUP from Sup Delft. You’ll paddle past centuries-old façades and under little bridges – it doesn’t get any better than this for an Instagram moment.

Evening: drinks & dancing

Start with a cocktail at Hanno or Alani, slide into Lolo Blu for shared dining and finish where the evening takes you. Delft has a surprising amount of atmosphere in the evening.
