I am Kim Verhoeff, 35 years old and born and raised in Delft. I grew up in the city centre with parents who were already catering entrepreneurs. I love travelling, culture and people. I have literally travelled the world before finally coming home to my beautiful Delft. Now, together with Hugo (my husband), I am the proud owner of Hanno - Groots café on the Doelenplein, where our love for travelling, hospitality and Delft come together.
Discover the Knapsack Festival
My UIT highlighted event in Delft is the Knapsack Festival. This festival is a just newly organised festival in recent years that I have had very positive experiences with. Apart from the fact that its organisation is very nice, the festival's performances are very diverse, there are things to do throughout the city for everyone and it is very surprising. From Hanno, things are constantly happening around you during Knapsack Festival that are interactive and surprising. No bar fences, no demarcated things but unexpectedly cheerful performances for everyone. People should definitely come to Delft during the Knapsack Festival. Just like during my travels, I like not to have too many expectations when I visit an event. So come to Delft and don't expect too much. Be guided by the locals and be surprised. Then you can't help but have a great day.
